The individual should have significant experience of implementing test equipment to support the needs of research and development testing. This would include technical requirement gathering, concept generation/designs, sourcing, implementation and commissioning/handover.
The engineer should have working knowledge of relevant HSE practices (e.g. CDM, DSEAR, LOTO, LOLER) and ideally have an understanding of the requirements for HV/LV systems. CREO/CAD experience is preferable although not essential
Skills and Experience Required:
Project management skills and experience are essential
Test System Design And Diagnostics - Able to design and configure test equipment according to established practices
Significant practical experience (post degree) in testing of diesel and natural gas Engines &/or Gensets, the measurement equipment and processes, ideally in a high-horsepower application
Knowledge and experience of test cell facilities, infrastructure and services
Working knowledge of HSE practices and regulations (e.g. Risk Assessments, LOTO, LOLER, CDM, DSEAR). Knowledge of HV & LV systems and generator set controls would be extremely desirable.
Ability to work within a highly dynamic and flexible team
