Senior Security Researcher:

For one of my clients in Brussels, I am looking for a Senior Security Researcher. He will join the penetration testing team as soon as possible, in a software development group, which offers an independent evaluation of the security measures in a product by attacking and reverse engineering the existing protection.

Senior Security Researcher: The responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Perform vulnerability research on the existing production of a product
  • Organizing the cumulated knowledge about existing hacks and potential vulnerabilities in specific targets
  • Perform security source code review (mainly C/C++)
  • Auxiliary tools will be developed as part of the execution and automation of the attack vectors
  • Writing clear vulnerability reports and provide guidance to the development teams on fixing the security issues

Senior Security Researcher: The profile

As Senior Security Researcher, you need to have experience with:

  • Experience with reverse engineering tools and techniques
  • Debuggers, decompilers, disassemblers, de-obfuscators
  • Static and dynamic binary analysis, binary injection
  • Packet sniffers
  • Good C/assembly development skills
  • Experience with both Linux and Windows OS
  • Fluent in English

Senior Security Researcher: Nice to have

Experience in the following topics is desirable:

  • Anti-tamper tools and techniques
  • Hardware/software attack vectors
  • Malware analysis
  • Cryptography (RSA, SHA, AES, …)
  • Android development
  • Networking protocols

Senior Security Researcher: The assignment

  • Employee or freelance status
  • Contract length of minimum 12 months
  • Start ASAP
  • As employee: Gross salary + company car + full package + training budget
