Permanent position

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with key directors, line managers, operational leaders, contractors and teams on-site and off-site
  • Ensure NSW Health and Safety Legislation is adhered to by the HSE team and project teams
  • Actively seek improvement in health and safety approaches
  • Ensure successful delivery of health and safety protocol through influencing site managers
  • Oversee injury management and rehabilitation
  • Implement, review and develop action plans to identify HSE risks
  • Report into the HSE Manager

Experience, skills and attributes required:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety (diploma or above)
  • ICAM investigation or equivalent
  • Rehabilitation and return to work coordinator accredited certificate or equivalent
  • 6 years' experience in civil construction with a proven adherence to WA WHS and environmental legislation, standards and codes of practice.
  • Proven track record in investigation, risk management, mentoring and leading
  • Success driven with an optimistic attitude
  • Expirience in risk analysis and Job Hazard Analysis
  • Comfortable with a 2:1 or 3:1 FIFO roster
