Operations Analyst

A mail order company in Lancashire are seeking an Operations Analyst to join their team. If you have knowledge of change management, problem management or scripting standards, and are familiar with Linux or Agile ways of working, then you may be the Analyst we're looking for.

What will you be doing?

As an Operations Analyst, you'll work within a hands-on role and will be responsible for providing support on a secure, stable and operationally viable environment for a variety of production and test applications running on IT systems. You'll have the ability to review, develop and implement operational standards, as well as identify and exploit new opportunities. You will also be responsible for operations support tasks for example; data transfer, recovery and back up

What skills/experience should you have?

  • An understanding of standards and procedures such as; Change Management, Problem management, scripting standards, call-out and escalation procedures
  • Technical ability to support Linux systems/applications
  • Ability to script in Powershell
  • Experience of working within an Agile environment

Although not an essential requirement of the role, if you have experience with Perl or with testing tools, then this may benefit your application.
