.Net Developer - 6 month contract - Melbourne CBD

Progressive, in partnership with one of our clients are currently on the lookout for a .Net Developer. Working in an agile business environment to support a business team, you will be working on a project for an end client. The body of work as a whole is to respond to business unit requirements that underpin the day to day activities of existing .Net related applications systems. The client are looking for someone who can come in and hit the ground running, and someone who can work independently with minimal supervision.

Role: .Net Developer

Location: Melbourne CBD

Tenure: 6 month contract

Essential skills and requirements:

  1. Should have 8-10 years' experience with strong knowledge of .Net framework
  2. Proficient in C#
  3. Strong knowledge of MVC architecture pattern and object oriented programming
  4. Strong understanding of ASP.Net framework
  5. Familiarity with entity framework
  6. Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server
  7. Experience with Javascript and JQuery
  8. Experience in implementing Web APIs
  9. Experience in writing unit tests
  10. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools viz TFS, Git, SVN
  11. Writing quality and secure code

What you will bring to the role:

  1. Excellent solution delivery and service delivery skills
  2. Willingness to go the extra mile to achieve the business outcomes
  3. Advanced PC skills (Visio, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  4. Be able to actively collaborate with and assist other members of the .Net team in successfully completing their activities including some level of mentoring and training and at times leading development activities
