For pursuing its Agile transformation & globalization, we are looking for a brand new role in EMEA : a TOOLS Engineering director in EMEA.

Reporting to an EMEA leader in charge of DATABASE, TOOLS, Middleware & AIM, you will be leading an existing team (mainly located in France , and India) and drive a set of transformations in conjunction with other regions (US & APAC)

You'll be part of an Agile organization & reporting to you will be

5 developers (3 in France, 2 in India)

6 engineers (5 in France, 1 in India)

1 architect (France)

Your missions will be

  1. ENGINEERINGConsolidating Tools around the globe (Jira, confluence, HPBSM..)Analyze current costs ( infrastructure footprint like storage, servers, licenses) and seek for optimization (clean up, consolidation, virtualization)To automate tools release deployment via CI/CD pipelines
  2. Deploy DEVOPS infrastructure components in EMEA (Docker/ICP, Jenkins as a service, ansible as a service, etc..)
  3. To do technology watch (meet vendors, seminaries…) aligned with R&Ds
  4. Drive Business case for Public Cloud solutions (AWS, Azure) and when relevant drive the project to execute it
  5. To lead Standardization & automation initiative with APAC & US (defining & reaching common objectives) like
  1. MANAGEMENT

To Manage People (HR, training, on calls, performance review)

  1. BUDGET

To Manage TOOLS budget (people, consulting, licenses) - CAPEX/OPEX

  1. STRATEGY

To define with other TOOLS Chapter leaders the STRATEGY (Objectives & Key Results) for TOOLS every year & execute it locally

  1. COMMUNICATION

To Communicate & be proactive with product owners (R&D & OPS) for anticipating their need & proposing added value solutions

  1. SECURITY

To Manage Audits (SOC, ISO) and maintain the certifications

  1. OPERATIONS

Make sure Daily Support ( including on-call) works, as well as the DRP tests, audits evidences collection

Make sure priorities are addresses & Operation reduction is progressing (KPI)

To ensure Support, changes & 24/7 of all solutions, with the help of all Scrum teams in the world (Global teams)

Development (JAVA, Angular especially) - strong experience

CI/CD process & tool set (bitbucket, artifactory, robotframework, selenium, Ansible, Jenkins) - strong experience

Public Cloud - basic experience (has already used it for real use case)

DOCKER & Kubernetes - basic experience (has already used it for real use case)

DATABASES (Oracle, SQL) - fundamentals

Object Storage - fundamentals

Ticketing / wiki (Jira, Confluence..) - optionnal

Monitoring & tools (splunk, prometheus..) - optionnal

Management skills : has already managed a team of ~10 people (strong experience)

Product Management / Product Development Skills ; has already work with Agile framework (strong experience)

Seniority:

A minimum of 5 years of experience as Manager in DEV & OPS environment

+ a minimum of 5 years of experience in one or many of the technical skills above
