My client is looking for a Substation Engineer to join their team in South Carolina. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company in the energy & utilities space! This role will lend you the opportunity to work remote in/near South Carolina while serving as the companies Engineer of Record for projects in SC and NV.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required for this position and registered with the NCEES. South Carolina PE required. Must either have Nevada PE or willingness to acquire. No travel to Nevada required.
  • Substation design drawing development, including:
    • Layouts and general arrangements
    • Section details & elevations
    • Below grade conduit plans
    • Planning/Analysis of lightning protection plans
    • BOMs
  • Client report generation
  • Mentorship to other engineers in the group
  • 5-7 years experience related to Substation Design
  • Knowledge of NESC, RUS Bulletins & applicable IEEE standards
  • AutoCAD, Mathcad, Mictostation or other similar software proficiency
  • Experience working with PLS-POLE/CADD, Bentley Sub, Bluebeam, ETAP, Milsoft, WindMil/LightTable, SKM Power Tools, SDS, etc.
