Progressive Global Energy is recruiting for a Site Construction Manager for new construction of Wind Farms for one of the World's Top Renewable Energy Companies. Looking for Site Managers that have managed wind construction projects and have O&M knowledge. Looking for site managers that want to work in Abilene, TX area, Encino, NM area or Upstate New York (Lowville). Candidates are placed on the project that best fits their skillset, but these are the 3 openings at this time.

This is full-time, Monday-Friday and some weekend work, rotational contract position that will last 6 months but will most likely go longer due to project delays; however, contractors often extend their contract or go direct hire with this client, otherwise we will work hard to place you on another project with our other clients if this project does end at the 6 month mark. Usual rotation allows contractors to go home once per month(3-5weeks on 1 week off) home trips are not required so if you want to work a longer rotation before going home that is fine, but you do have the option to go home once per month and receive a home trip allowance. We offer full benefits to our contract employees: medical, dental, vision, 401k, company vehicle or vehicle allowances, per diem, mobilization, etc. Competitive hourly pay rates with overtime at time and a half. Most contractors work 50-70 hour weeks. We provide GWO training as your first week of work.

Summary

  • On behalf of project management be responsible for safe execution of projects on site within the project's timeframe and financial restraints according to the contract and Project Manager Company principles. While continuing to protect Company interests the Site Manager should endeavour to maintain a good relationship with the customer and focus on customer satisfaction
  • In accordance with the contract and QA/EHS system be compliant with local legislation and in accordance with Company internal guidelines at all times

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for organisational site setup and daily management on site
  • Overall responsible for the site organisation, site administration setup and general site facilities
  • Overall responsible for communication internally and externally
  • Ensure financial control of the project
  • Overall ESH responsible on site
  • Responsible for executing project targets/milestones
  • Responsible for efficient implementation of the project in compliance with customer and subcontractor contracts
  • Responsible for monitoring parts, equipment and tools on site
  • Responsible for ensuring that installation work is performed in agreement with QA regulations/standards of SWP
  • Responsible for continuous improvements on site and participate in and support business improvement programs
  • The employee is obligated to keep him- or herself informed of the QA system and the procedures related to the position and to work in accordance with the requirements defined in the QA system
  • The employee is obligated to keep him- or herself informed of the Company Process House and the procedures related to the position and to work in accordance with the requirements defined in the Company Process House
  • The employee is obligated to keep him- or herself informed of the procedures relevant to the position. This includes waste sorting and handling of chemicals in the work area. The employee is obligated to react on observed nonconformities to the written procedures and to contribute to the improvement of the environment

  • Technical/practical education or mechanical/constructional experience
  • Ability to work within a process environment
  • Experience in working with complex contracts
  • Experience in managing and leading teams and working with subcontractors and clients

  • Management, including coaching and mentoring
  • Good cultural understanding

Bonus qualifications (not required)

  • Experience on Siemens, Gamesa, and Siemens Gamesa turbines
  • 5+ years O&M experience as a lead tech or tech of some facet
  • Active GWO certifications
