Progressive GE is partnering with a leading utility scale owner operator, who is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a 6 month contract to hire remote position.

This Project Manager would be working on successful execution of utility scale solar project throughout the construction phase, from LNTP to COD.

The main responsibilities of a Senior Project Manager would include:

  • Ownership of the solar project from LNTP to COD.
  • Manage turn-key EPC contract for the solar project.
  • Coordinate the internal team (Engineering, Finance, Quality, Safety, etc.) to ensure project success.
  • Manage the Construction Manager
  • Maintain the project budget (Profit and Loss, Cash Flow, Invoicing/Billing, etc.).
  • Maintain the project schedule.
  • Provide regular updates on the project to management and external partners, including the Project Finance Team and finance partners.
  • Interface with the Utility and project Off-Takers ensuring all conditions and milestones of the Interconnection Agreement(s) and Power Purchase Agreement(s) are met.
  • Engage with AHJs and applicable permit authorities to ensure successful issuance and closure of permits for the project including but not limited to Conditional Use Permit, Environmental Permits, SWPPP Permits.
  • Schedule and coordinate the project Commissioning and Close-Out activities (with support from the EPC partner).
  • Coordinate with the project Independent Engineer to ensure the financial stage-gates are met.
  • Assist in the hand-off of the project form the Development Team to the Operations team at NTP as well as manage the hand-off of the project to the Operations and Maintenance team at COD.
  • Develop a list of and manage the project risks, scope gap, and/or scope creep; mitigate each accordingly by aligning resources to address both internal and external.

This role is fully remote position, that would requires travel to sites about 25% of the time. This position has the ability to becomes a direct hire employee after 6 months, and presents the opportunity to work on an innovative forward thinking project.

Required Qualifications:

  • Have previously performed the above duties and responsibilities for Utility-scale projects in the ERCOT and/or CAISO markets.
  • Ability to travel 25-50% of the time as the projects and job duties require.
  • Expertise in MS Office Suite, MS Project, P6, SharePoint and other project management tools.
  • Advanced Degree preferred but not required.
