Drafter (PR-34112974)

Progressive Global Energy are hiring for a Design Drafter to join a large Oil and Gas Chemical Manufacturing company in their Artesia, NM, location.

This will be for a 2 year contract, working a Monday-Friday work schedule on site.

This position is a great opportunity for someone with 1-2 years design experience to work for a large organization and enhance their current skill set for the next couple of years.

This Drafter position will involve the following:

- Assists in developing CAD standards

- Maintains drawings and drawing systems

- Possess a good knowledge of industry standards

- Performs design and drafting assignments related to the refineries

- Monitors outside contractor drawing compliance

The successful Drafter applicant will meet the below criteria:

- Formal education such as Associate's or Bachelor's degree is advantageous

- 1-3 years experience in a Drafter position within the Oil and Gas or Chemical industries

- Intermediate knowledge of pipeline systems and ability to apply this knowledge

- Good knowledge of electrical practices and instrumentation and instrument loop diagrams

- Working knowledge of PLC and HMI (human machine interface) programming

- Currently based in, or willing to be based in Artesia, NM
