Alexander Miles was an African American Inventor who created the automatic elevator door in 1887. His invention ✨ opened the door ✨ for people of color in the engineering space and he was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2007. At Progressive Recruitment, we aim to drive equality in STEM careers, through our STEM Equity Coalition which works to change the STEM landscape for underrepresented people.
