In order to stay this global chemical manufacturer, our client is looking for a Project Manager to manage different projects in both the Netherlands and Abroad. You like to develop and work with a team of professionals of various backgrounds and functions and deliver new and improved manufacturing assets for the businesses.

Besides the above, you can work with both internal and external partners in your projects and you expedite progress by effectively bringing people and information together.

Job Responsibilities

• One of your talents is leading multidisciplinary teams to conduct Front-end Loading engineering (scouting studies, project scope definition) in the early project phases to maximise the value added of the project.
• You engage your team for implementation by preparation of Project Execution Strategies and Plans and monitoring during execution. You ensure appropriate Project organisation and Governance is set-up and staffed.
• You manage risks and lead Project Risk Management reviews with project teams and stakeholders and ensure that Mitigating actions are defined, implemented and monitored.
• You're the communicator and impress with reporting and presenting project progress and performance regularly to a variety of stakeholders (project team, site team, senior management, customers)
• You understand the various stages of the project life cycle and like to perform each time. You are proficient in developing cost estimates, perform Project Cost Control and Scope Control (including scope change management)
• You develop tailor made Contracting and Procurement Strategies for your projects.
• You care about and live Health, Safety and Environment principles. You actively develop and implement Construction Safety plans and bring organisations in place, that monitors and manages safety, health and environment performance during construction.

Minimum Qualifications

• You successfully completed a Bachelors/Master's degree from a Technical University (preferably Chemical or Mechanical)
• You have multiple years of working experience in the (petro)chemical / fine chemical industry / engineering contractor (global and international companies)
• You have proven (project management) experience in multiple new projects, both in design, engineering, procurement and construction and commissioning of plants for green field, brown field and retrofit/revamp type of projects
• Fluent in English (both oral and written) and at least one of the following language skills: Dutch, German and Spanish
