Job Description:


As an offshore construction field engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the technical aspects of offshore wind power projects. The typical scope of work includes, but is not limited to, installation, light work, inspection, maintenance, and repair work.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Carries out tasks as assigned by Project Engineers and the Installation Engineering Team Lead. Tasks would predominately be focused on technical issues but will sometimes require administrative functions.
  • Responsible for the installation engineering of subsea hardware, including field and offshore support.
  • Conduct engineering calculations and analysis.
  • Interface inside and outside a meeting setting with project team members and Clients.
  • Assist Project Engineers/Managers with project cost estimates and constructability issues during the design, planning and construction phases of projects

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil or Ocean Engineering)
  • Native level Japanese proficiency is a must
  • Minimum 5 years of marine engineering experience. Shipbuilding/construction experience would be advantageous.

DESIRED

  • First-class civil construction management engineer qualification (Japan)
