Thermal Project Engineer 6 month contract inside IR35 (PR-33939417)
As an Engineer within Thermal Engineering and Asset Management (TEAM), you will generally be fulfilling the role of a Design Development Engineer on one of our clients challenging and exciting Low-Carbon Thermal Large Capital Projects. Working under a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing the appropriate project engineering activities required during the concept, design, construction and commissioning phases of Large Capital Projects included within the clients Thermal project portfolio.
support a wide range of projects at varying stages of project development and delivery.
deliver project engineering activities during the concept, development and construction phases of Large Capital Projects.
manage engineering design requirements and reviews, and implement quality assurance activities to ensure requirements are achieved during design and construction.
develop and maintain relevant engineering and design standards to ensure existing and new build assets comply with engineering legislation, design codes and standards.
To be considered for this role, we would love you to be:
Experienced in the design development and/or construction engineering of high value thermal power-generation projects.
Experienced in developing or implementing design development or construction engineering strategies and plans appropriate to project and technology risks and managing complex technical and commercial interfaces.
Working towards Chartered Engineer and member of Engineering Council.
Ability to organise staff both within the project design development or construction engineering team and through an engineering matrix management structure to ensure delivery against project requirements and timescales.
Good interpersonal skills with effective communication skills at all management levels and high pressure situations involved with project management environments.
The rate for this role is £500 per day INSIDE IR35.
Expected hours are Mon-Fri - 8 hours per day.
This is a hybrid role with some office and home based work. You will need to be based a commutable distance from Leeds, Perth or Glasgow.
The successful candidate will be subject to a BPSS application which must be passed to be able to execute this role.
