Primary Plant Engineer

Contract - 6 months minimum

Progressive Global Energy are working with a global leader in HV and HVDC technology.

They are currently looking to recruit a number of Primary Plant Engineers for new build on and offshore substations as part of their wind farm connection portfolio. They are looking for candidates with the following skills;

  • HV or HVDC industry experience
  • Design Engineering background
  • Strong knowledge on High Voltage substation international standards & guidelines (IEC, CIGRE…) and related equipment
  • Knowledge of switchgear, transformers etc
  • Autocad experience
  • Ideally Revit experience (but this can be learnt on the job)

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Design optimized substation & buildings layouts integrating all the required equipment considering their installation, operation, and maintenance constraints
  • Deliver substation & buildings general arrangements and civil guides as per project planning
  • Support continuous improvement within plant engineering discipline

This is a very exciting opportunity as they are using cutting edge technology. The client are happy for you to work remotely, but you do have the option to go to their office in Stafford.

This is being offered as a contract role but there is up to 3 years work just on the current projects they have secured.
