National Sales Effectiveness Analyst - 3 month contract - Melbourne CBD

Progressive, in partnership with one of our clients are currently on the lookout for a national sales effectiveness analyst to deliver analytical reports to support a sales team. Your role will be to transition reporting data from SAP BO to Microsoft Power BI and evaluate the reports, offer insights and supportive analysis on opportunities for operational efficiencies and asset performance. You will ideally have strong data analytical experience with strengths in data modelling and reporting as well as being able to communicate with and influence people at all levels of the business. This role sits in the sales function of the business reporting to the sales operations manager.

Essential skills and requirements:

  1. Academic level of qualification required
  2. Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  3. Data modelling, reporting and analysis experience
  4. Advanced technical knowledge of SAP BO and Microsoft Power BI
  5. Have good Excel and analytical skills
  6. Commercial knowledge - ability to understand and interpret key sales performance metrics
  7. Project management skills - ability to effectively lead and implement initiatives
  8. Demonstrated success in leading initiatives and influencing people
  9. Advanced PC skills (Visio, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  10. Advanced MS Excel and VBA skills, strong analytical foundation, flair for problem solving and an eye for accuracy

Key Tasks:

  • Provide analytical reporting to sales teams and their customers including insight generation and value add to stakeholders
  • Provide analytical support utilising data to identify trends and business opportunities across brands, customers and the broader marketplace
  • Develop processes to track, communicate and improve promotional efficiencies and effectiveness
  • Review regular reports to identify opportunities around driving the business forward through analysis
  • Utilise appropriate tools to assist in the tracking of key sales objectives
