Front End Developer
Front End Developer - 3 month contract - Melbourne
Progressive, in partnership with one of our clients are actively on the lookout for a Front End Developer with web development, and design experience utilising CSS, SASS and HTML5. You will be working on the creation of a design system which will involve building a library of reusable design patterns and code which will be compiled in SASS and reused by the marketing team within the University. You will be joining a lead developer on this project who has extensive experience in Squiz CMS and is currently working on the platform and creating the design in the library. The client are looking for someone who can come in and hit the ground running.
Role: Front End Developer
Tenure: 3 month contract with a chance of extension
Essential skills and requirements:
- Ideal candidate will be a mid-level front end developer with at least 3-4 years' experience in;
- Experience with Adobe Marketing Suite (Launch, Target, Audience, Analytics, Campaign and form builder)
- Experience with Squiz Matrix CRM would be well regarded
- Experience with Progressive Web Apps to also build mobile web pages
Ideally you will be someone who likes analysis, troubleshooting and problem solving. You will need to have an interest in design and in creating a design system as well as be comfortable to bounce ideas off the senior developer in the project. Ideally you will have a University background or have previously worked on a large site in creating a design system. You need to have solid development skills and be happy to work unsupervised with different peers and stakeholders.
You will be working with a collaborative team on this piece of work. You will be working closely with a senior front end developer on this project to create the design system together. The team also consists of a UX designer and a back end developer, all reporting into the team lead.
