Want to learn some new tricks? You're not an old dog yet.

You're excited by technology. You love getting to grips with the latest versions of PLC software. But you're stuck battling with legacy code.

Siemens, Allen Bradley, B&R, Beckhoff - No matter what PLC platform you're experienced in, you'll be able to use all of them here.

You want to work for a company who is not afraid to take on new tech that they're never used before, and will support with external training & development courses.

You will be able to get stuck in to the full lifecycle of control system projects right from programming PLC code from scratch through to supporting machines onto site through installation and commissioning.

If your passport is looking a bit bare thanks to the pandemic then you'll also have the chance to get a few more stamps, as you can expect 8 - 12 weeks of travel over the year to support customers in locations as diverse as Canada, Mexico, Poland and the Middle East.

For longer trips you can choose between sitting smugly in business class, or having a cash lump sum paid directly into your bank account if you're willing to go economy. That's on top of generous overseas payments.

The job itself is based right on the border between Devon and Dorset, with the stunning Jurassic Coast on your doorstep, and the festivals, cheddar and cider of Somerset just up the road. This is not a remote working role, so will require relocating to the area.

You'll be as part of a team alongside 7 other Controls Engineers, within a business that hasn't let it's 30+ year heritage hold them back from innovating in the field of packaging & process automation machinery.

You will be working for a flexible boss who is committed to supporting and developing you. And you'll deal directly with customers that that even your mum has heard of like Procter & Gamble and AstraZeneca.

The salary on offer is £45,000 - £65,000 plus the aforementioned travel payments, and 25 days holiday with the standard company pension.

If you enjoy your two-day weekends now, then the lunchtime finish on Fridays helps extend your weekend to 2.5 days giving more time for doing all those things on the 'hobbies' section of your CV.
