Following continual growth over the past few years, this close-knit technical team based near Bath is looking for a Senior Controls Software Engineer who is keen to learn and be a part of a business who are constantly moving forward.
You would be involved in projects across applications as diverse as food & beverage, materials handling, robotics & motion control, vision systems, water treatment, waste-to-energy, cloud-based analytics and theme parks.
You would be taking the lead on projects where you will be programming PLC, HMI and SCADA systems from scratch, meeting with customers to define their technical requirements, designing & implementing industrial communications networks and programming both industrial factory and process automation software.
This role is a crucial position in their business strategy of growing at a steady rate of 35% in the next 3 years. There will be scope to evolve into a Technical Manager role or if you prefer to remain hands on continuing with a variety of projects and mentoring less seasoned Engineers.
You will be confident in programming software from scratch, have a minimum of 2 years' experience on the full life cycle on projects preferably with either a degree or apprenticeship/HND in a relevant field and a passion to expand your experience and abilities then you may be suitable for this position.
The role will offer a salary of up to £50,000 basic depending on experience, plus company bonuses and private medical cover as well as doing work which will be engaging and challenging where your input will be valued.
You can expect to be in the office twice a week dependent on project needs and around 20% of the year travelling to customer sites in the UK with a once in a blue moon requirement to go further afield.
