Friday night lights: Progressive Recruitment goes to AFL!

The Australian Football League (AFL) season kicked off on 22 March 2018. To celebrate, we took our clients and candidates to the Hawthorn v/s Sydney Swans game at the Melbourne Cricket Grounds (MCG) in Melbourne last month.

AFL is an integral part of many Australian communities and the AFL culture is exceptionally strong in Melbourne. It was therefore a fantastic opportunity to share this experience with the people we have worked with within Victoria. Our guests at the event included current managers we work with, placed contractors and those on permanent roles as well as new hiring managers across different areas of the business.

In spite of the torrential rain, sub-zero temperatures and gale force winds, we all enjoyed a get-together at the Richmond hotel for a winter warmer and pre-game appetizers. We were subsequently treated to a well-fought game at the MCG with the lead exchanging hands on many occasions. It was a tense game with the Sydney Swans finally winning and returning to NSW with 4 points.

At Progressive Recruitment, we enjoy organising such events that enable us to step away from business conversations for the rest of the evening and instead focus on building long term relationships with our clients and candidates. On this note, we would like to thank our clients for their repeat business – especially the trust they place in us as we look for the best talent that would fit their business needs and culture. Likewise, we would like to thank our candidates for allowing us to make an invaluable contribution to their careers.

If you would like to join us at our next event, please do not hesitate to contact our Operations Manager Julie Wood on 02 9285 1020 who would be happy to share our upcoming events with you. If you would like to find out more about our Melbourne business, please feel free to contact Simon Costa at  [email protected] and he would be able to share more details with you.
