URGENT Requirement - Mechanical Design Engineer

Oil & Gas: driving of pumps and compressors; fixed or variable speed applications
Marine (Merchant & Naval): generators, power distribution, electric propulsion systems
Power Generation: motors and generators up to 100MW
Industry: complete power conversion solutions including motors
Renewable Energy: generators, including direct-drive and hybrid Permanent Magnet Generator solutions.

There is now a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join this growing organisation in the West Midlands.

The Role
- Provide Mechanical Design engineering for electrical rotating machines and devices.
- Responsible for designing components, assemblies and machines using a wide range of computer aided engineering tools
- Analysis of thermal, stress, fluid flow, power transfer, vibration and machinery problems.

The Person
- Degree or higher degree in relevant subject
- Experience in the design of rotating electrical machines and structures is desirable
- Vibration/ noise background
- Pro Engineer
- Stress Analysis, FEA, hand calculations.
- Heavy Industry background

Salary: £30000- £35000 (Negotiable dependant on experience)
