SMT ENGINEER - HOT NEW ROLE

We are currently seeking to recruit a SMT Engineer whose main duties and responsibilities will comprise the following:-

Strong participant in cross functional teams supporting manufacturing
Develop, program, maintain and improve all SMT processes
Optimize set up/programs to improve equipment effectiveness
Analyze yield of SMT processes to ensure process capabilities and throughput
Analyze SMT defects to determine likely failure modes
Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques including poke-yoke, kaizen, one piece flow
Design/Development of new tooling for new/existing processes
Selection/liaison with Suppliers for both standard and bespoke equipment
Knowledge of PFMEA

Candidates will be able to demonstrate knowledge of solder printing, placement, solder reflow, wave/selective solder, design for manufacture and assembly and new product introduction SMT ENGINEER
